What do you want to find?
%
Decimal places in the result (rounded)
B% of A — The copied value is the result without commas. Nothing is rounded during the calculation: the result is rounded once at the end, to the number of decimal places you choose (halves are rounded away from zero).

How percentages are calculated

A percentage is a ratio out of 100: 1% is 0.01. This calculator handles the three most common questions.

Calculations use exact arithmetic, so there are no floating-point errors such as 0.1 + 0.2 ≠ 0.3. Negative numbers are rounded by their absolute value and the sign is restored afterward, so −2.5 and 2.5 round symmetrically.
